I really did order an Oreo Nick Fury. I don't think the lady noticed, as I received an Oreo McFlurry.

Much more delicious, but not as dangerous.

Egomaniac: Strange Relationship

It's true. Jenn and I have been together for a year now, and Jeff said this at the beginning of the year to me, and I said it to Jenn at a completely different time. I can't help that so many people want me, (it's just two) what can I say?

Some art notes: I was playing Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions when I drew this, hence my Spider-Man 2099 shirt. Jeff's got a Batman Beyond shirt on, cause I figured if I was all futuristic, he should be too.

I'm still so far ahead on this shit that I haven't even gotten a haircut in the comic yet! It's grown out a lot since I cut it, and the comics haven't even seen the short haired me. Yikes!

Egomaniac: Landed

Who's the blonde dude? Does anyone remember him? I don't, cause he never comes out anymore!

But yes, this was a great, great great slip of the tongue. It happened in real life just how it happened here. And it's led to a great new way to talk about how angry you might be.

"Oh my god, a customer made me so mad at work I just wanted to suck his dick!"

"My boss makes me so angry I could put his penis in my mouth!"

...I don't think Esteban knows how anger works.

Opinion!

Okay guys, I have a quick question for you. Does this look better with or without the tones on it?

I've done this before in a comic, but then it was either tones or shadows. This time I did both, and I'm just wondering if it adds anything to the artwork or not. I use tones in my backgrounds all the time, and I am just wondering if it's worth doing it on the figures too.

Egomaniac: The Comedy of Hate

It's true, behind closed doors she just can't leave that thing alone!

I'll be honest, I don't remember the original target of hate when we had this conversation, but we had a conversation recently about Angelina Jolie, so she seemed to be a good fit for this comic.

I've only seen a couple of her movies though, like Gone in 60 Seconds, (which is a guilty pleasure,) and Wanted, (which sucked the dick of a guy sucking a dick.) But I don't like her!

Egomaniac: Kashmir

So Jenn and I went to JW Holsteins to see Kashmir, a Led Zeppelin cover band. They were actually pretty good, I liked them. But I had said how they were a cover band of a cover band. What does that mean? Well, listen to this!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEsL46_PgOg

Led Zeppelin stole so much of their music. At one point on one of the O and A videos , Norton says how Zeppelin was a cover band. Can you really disagree with that?

And Alanis Morrisette. I'd love to say this is an isolated thing, but it's getting to the point where you can't even say the word "ironic" around Jeff or myself. This comic is no exaggeration. We're pretty awful.

Sketchdump 1

Just a compilation of pages from my Manga Studio sketchbook.

There's stuff here you've already seen, but here goes.

Some things of note:
Page 64: George Harrison, me, and I started drawing my create a wrestler character, Above Average Robert Patrick.

Page 67: "Hey Jenn, who should I draw?" "Johnny Depp!" And some guys from Sartorialist and designs for Sean.

Page 72: I draw the Joker a lot, I think.

Page 75: Trying to nail a design for Jenn. I think I finally got it.

Page 76: Hoffman from Saw, a generic UFC guy, and Bill Paxton from Near Dark

Page 77: I don't know that girl's name, but she's a wrestler and I drew her. I set my Cintiq pressure a little lower than usual to see if I liked drawing with thicker lines.

Page 78: True Grit.

Page 80: My first design for Sara Del Rey and Captain.

Page 83: Seamus, Invincible and George Harrison again.
