Egomaniac: She Caught the Katy

This story is all true. It's hell trying to type without a head. So forgive me for any spelling errors you may find.

I can't remember a time when I hadn't seen Blues Brothers. It's just one of those movies that everyone has seen, you know?

Or so I thought. If you are like Liz, make sure you run out and see Blues Brothers. It is a perfect movie.

Now I know how Steve felt when he found out I hadn't seen the Untouchables, heh.

Egomaniac: Sharp Dressed Man

So, it took two trips, but I picked out a pair of glasses I liked. See, the first ones were nice and all, but just not "me." So I returned them for the pair you see in the comic. Frames on top, fishing line on the bottom. They're about right for me, I like them.

But here's the problem.

I wore them for like, a week and a half or so. From the day I got them, my head was constantly hurting, and I felt kinda dizzy. I think about what happened to me that would cause that, and the only thing I could figure was the new glasses. It was the only change. Yeah, it takes a while to get used to new glasses once you get them, but it's a day or two at the most. I've been wearing them since fourth grade, I know the feeling. A day or two is about right, not damn near two weeks.

So yes, I returned those glasses too, and I am back to the classic frames we all know and love. Which, by the way, are held together with super glue and wishes.

Sadly, that isn't any sort of an exaggeration.

Oh, sorry about the copy/paste of the top eight panels, but it was the way to go, I think. And yes, my hair does do that if I don't pull it back.

Egomaniac: Season of the Shark

Yeah, so apparently I've decided to not post these in the order I drew them. I wrote this during Shark Week on Discovery, which is long since passed. Should give you some idea how long I was sitting on the idea of Egomaniac before I started it, huh?

But yeah, I think if I was swimming in the ocean and a great fucking white appeared, that'd be my natural reaction. Not very heroic, I know. But come on. I've seen and read Jaws. Plus I watched Air Jaws. Those things are scary!

--------------------------------------------------------

So, at the beginning of the year, I said to myself "I want to watch 100 movies I've never seen before the year is over." Well, I'm more than halfway through the year, and I'm nowhere near close. Regardless, here's the list so far. There may be one or two I missed, but I think it's pretty dead on. It probably would be more, but Liz and I took a lot of time to go through Lost seasons one and two. I'll asterisk the ones on DVD.

300
Hot Fuzz
Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End
Spider-Man 3
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
Ordinary People *
Ghost Rider: The worst movie I've seen all year.
Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Knocked Up
28 Weeks Later
TMNT
Team America: World Police *
Goodfellas *
Raging Bull *
The SImpsons Movie
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon *
Amile *
Art School Confidential *
The Science of Sleep *
Borat *
Superbad
Little Miss Sunshine *
Halloween (2007): Saw it a few weeks ago, but forgot to update it.
Pan's Labyrinth*: Brilliant fantasy.

Yeah, not quite 100 yet, heh. I'll update this and repost it whenever I add to the list. I like keeping track of things and making lists.

I think whenever I repost this as I see new things, I'll write a one line review for an older movie on the list, so it's a bit more substantial than just adding one new movie.
